The Story of Njord Manufacturing

After many years as a self employed seamstress, designing and producing custom made leather garments, bridal wear, clothing, Covers And Boat canopies I started the company Covering UK Ltd in 2012. This since got incorporated into Covering UK Manufacturing Ltd, The shift was to encompass all our skills of Manufacturing including sourcing and supply of materials.  In august 2021 Covering UK Manufacturing was closed due to a move to Denmark where now Njord Manufacturing is started by the 7th October 2021, to pick up and supply our loyal customers both in EU and UK.

 

We have been working with and supplying covers to a leading trailer manufacturing company in Brigdnorth called Phoenix Trailers who make and supply trailers. We have been supplying covers for their customers since 2012 and still enjoy a great working relationship.

 

We also manufacture Transport Covers for any use such as shoe display racks, furniture, Glass transport frames plus almost any other type of purpose.

 

We offer a complete service for boat owners, this includes covers, canopies and spray hoods. We will manufacture and supply or can offer fitting at your own site to ensure best fit.

 

We also make convertible car roofs so just send us a message and you never know, it may well prove to be your smartest move yet.

Now after numerous enquiries we are able to offer material sourcing with a fully comprehensive service available. We can source, supply and arrange delivery. This can be to your own production facility or direct to ours for manufacturing of your garments.  We have made the mistakes so you don't have to.

Following continuing enquiries we now offer small run manufacturing services for new business start-ups. We offer a comprehensive service incorporating all our services in one package meaning you can have your dream become a reality. With our comprehensive workshop facilities we can take your design right through to finished product.

We have a wide variety of industrial machines in our workshop: 

• - Lockstitch These can sew a single stitching in almost any material light to medium heavy.

• - Coverstitch 5 threads, used to hem jersey/stretch materials, binding with jersey, decor seams with over and under cover stitching.

• - Overlocker 4 threads, a standard overlock stitching.

• - Overlocker 5 threads, gives you a 3 thread overlock and a row of chain stitching in one run.

• - Twin Needle Generally used for two equal rows of stitching.

• - Walking Foot Produces a single line of stitching in medium to heavy materials leather etc. 

• - Freearm Walking foot machine, for bags etc in medium to heavy material such as leather etc.

• - Button Hole for straight button holes only ( shirts etc.)
